DIY Biblical Candles for Prayer & Worship

Candles have been used in worship throughout history. Creating your own faith-inspired candles can be a beautiful way to enhance your prayer time while incorporating biblical scents into your home.

Candle #1: The “Peace of Christ” Lavender Candle

🌿 Symbolism: Lavender represents rest and God’s peace.
🕯 Ingredients:

• 1 cup soy wax flakes
• 10 drops lavender essential oil
• 1 cotton wick

Candle #2: The “Anointing Oil” Frankincense & Myrrh Candle

🌿 Symbolism: Used in biblical anointing rituals.
🕯 Ingredients:

• 1 cup beeswax
• 10 drops frankincense essential oil
• 5 drops myrrh essential oil

Candle #3: The “Light of the World” Honey & Cinnamon Candle

🌿 Symbolism: Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12).
🕯 Ingredients:

• 1 cup coconut wax
• 1 tbsp honey
• ½ tsp cinnamon powder

💡 Instructions for All Candles:
1️⃣ Melt wax in a double boiler.
2️⃣ Add essential oils or natural ingredients.
3️⃣ Secure the wick in a jar and pour in melted wax.
4️⃣ Let cool, trim the wick, and enjoy!
