Week 13: Joy in Every Circumstance
Share
Scripture: Philippians 4:4
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" — Philippians 4:4
Devotional:
Joy is not dependent on circumstances—it is rooted in Christ. While happiness can fluctuate based on external events, joy is an unshakable confidence in God’s goodness and faithfulness. Paul wrote the book of Philippians while imprisoned, yet he repeatedly encouraged believers to rejoice. His joy was not based on comfort but on his relationship with Jesus.
No matter what you’re facing, you can experience joy by focusing on God’s promises. Instead of waiting for everything to be perfect, choose to find joy in small moments, in gratitude, and in the assurance that God is with you.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to experience true joy that is found in You alone. Teach me to rejoice in every season, trusting that You are working all things for my good. Fill my heart with gratitude and praise, even in difficult times. Amen.
