Week 14: Peace That Surpasses Understanding
Share
Scripture: John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." — John 14:27
Devotional:
True peace does not come from external circumstances but from knowing and trusting God. Jesus promised His disciples a peace that is not like the world’s—one that remains steady despite difficulties, uncertainties, or storms.
We often seek peace through control, comfort, or security, but the peace of Christ comes from surrender. It means trusting that God is in control, even when life feels chaotic. This week, focus on releasing your worries to Him and resting in the peace He freely offers.
Prayer:
Father, I receive the peace You have promised. Help me to let go of worry and fear, trusting that You hold everything in Your hands. Fill my heart with Your calm assurance and let my life reflect Your peace to others. Amen.
