Week 5: The Gift of Peace

Scripture: John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." — John 14:27

Devotional:

Jesus promises a peace that is unlike anything the world can offer. Worldly peace depends on circumstances, but His peace remains steady in the midst of chaos. It is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of God in the midst of it.

When we trust in God’s sovereignty, we can release our anxieties and rest in His perfect peace. No matter what challenges you face, know that Jesus is offering you His peace today. Lean into Him, surrender your worries, and allow His presence to calm your heart.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the gift of Your peace. Help me to release my fears and trust in You completely. No matter what I face, I know that You are in control. Fill my heart with Your perfect peace today. Amen.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What is currently stealing your peace? How can you surrender it to God?
  2. How does Jesus’ peace differ from the peace the world offers?
  3. What practical steps can you take to cultivate a peaceful mind and heart?
