Week 6: Patience in the Waiting
Share
Scripture: Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." — Psalm 27:14
Devotional:
Patience is more than simply waiting—it is trusting in God's perfect timing. The world teaches us to expect instant results, but God often works through seasons of waiting to refine our faith. Waiting on the Lord does not mean doing nothing; it means actively trusting Him, praying, and preparing our hearts for His plans.
David, the author of this psalm, experienced many years of waiting before he became king. Yet, he learned that God's timing is always best. If you are in a season of waiting—whether for a breakthrough, an answered prayer, or direction—know that God is working behind the scenes. Use this time to draw closer to Him, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust in Your perfect timing. Give me patience to wait with faith, knowing that Your plans are always for my good. Strengthen my heart and teach me to lean on You in every season. Amen.
