Week 7: Kindness as a Reflection of Christ
Share
Scripture: Ephesians 4:32
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." — Ephesians 4:32
Devotional:
Kindness is more than just being polite—it is a reflection of God’s love at work in our hearts. Jesus showed kindness to those society rejected, offering healing, compassion, and grace. When we practice kindness, we reflect His character and open doors for His love to be seen through us.
True kindness goes beyond convenience. It requires intentionality, even when dealing with difficult people. A kind word, a listening ear, or an act of service can change someone’s day—or even their life. This week, ask God to help you extend kindness, especially when it’s not easy.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your kindness and grace toward me. Help me to be a reflection of Your love by showing kindness to those around me. Give me a heart that is compassionate and willing to serve. Amen.
Reflection Questions:
- When has someone’s kindness made a lasting impact on you?
- Is there someone in your life who is difficult to be kind to? How can you show them love this week?
- What are some small but meaningful ways you can practice kindness daily?
Guided Self-Care Ritual:
- Acts of Kindness List: Write down three simple acts of kindness you can do this week and commit to completing them.
- Handmade Gift: Create a small, thoughtful gift (such as a handwritten note, baked treat, or care package) to give to someone.
- Mirror Affirmations: Speak words of kindness to yourself in the mirror, reminding yourself that you are loved and valued by God.
